greevey will be our guest, georgia congresswoman tom price and florida congresswoman debbie wasserman schultz joins us. it's tuesday, november 13th, "starting point" begins right now. >>> morning, welcome, everybody. our "starting point" this morning. breaking news. another top military general has now been linked to the sex scandal that forced out cia director david petraeus. forced him to resign. general john allen, the commander of u.s. and nato forces in afghanistan is now under investigation for alleged inappropriate communications with jill kelley. now investigators are said to be looking into the 20,000 to 30,000 pages of e-mails and other documents that he sent to her. kelley, of course, is the florida woman whose original complaint to the fbi about threatening e-mails inadvertently exposed the affair between general petraeus and paula broadwell. meantime a team of fbi agents searched broadwell's home in charlotte, north carolina, overnight, and spent nearly five hours there wrapping up just after 1:00 in the morning. "starting point" begins right now. >> look at me i'm whistling our theme song this morning. you're watching "starting point." the scandal, and it's spreading, is now engulfing two four-star generals. there are some new details about the woman who is at the center of it all. her name is jill kelley. she is described as a tammpy socialite. she first reported she's anonymous harassing e-mails to an fbi agent friend, and that ended up triggering an investigation. those e-mails eventually turned out to be sent by paula broadwell. that would be david petraeus' biographer. and eventually turned out his mistress, as well. we mentioned it was a web, didn't i? and it is. the affair exposed general petraeus and he was forced to resign as the cia director. well, now the general john allen, who is the top u.s. commander in afghanistan, is being investigated for trading alleged quote flirtatious e-mails with ms. kelley over the last couple of years. we're hearing fr

minutes before that, we saw very, very close to us, we could actually hear the sounds of the rockets leaving the rocket launcher right over our heads towards israel. we know the sirens went off in israel after we saw the rockets here. so here it goes again. you can hear the booms now of air strikes. this is starting to start up again and it's not unusual that at night when it starts getting late here, this all starts to go full force. in the morning, about 4:00, 5:00, 6:00, and aven7:00 is whee hear the most air blasts and activity, but it sounds like it's going to be another one of those crazy nights here in gaza. the entire city pretty much shut down after the air strikes that hit the police headquarters and the hamas headquarters. thingvis have gotten quiet, bute also heard hamas was telling its workers, government workers, to go back to work tomorrow. i don't see that happening with all that's going on now. if it's the same as it was yesterday and the day before where things got very, very loud and very, very active during the night, i don't see that happening that people will be

"the wall street journal" reports the fbi agent who launched the petraeus investigation was removed from the case after it was discovered he sent a shirtless picture of himself to jill kelly. the agent who knew kelly sent the pictures before the investigation began. he was later removed from the investigation because supervisors were concerned the agent may have become obsessed with the case. >> and there's more. a team of fbi agents searching paula broadwell's home yesterday. eight to ten agents brought cardboard boxes and searched both levels of the house. the fbi confirmed agents were there but wouldn't say what they were looking for. >> obviously, a lot going on here. we have two reports. chris lawrence of the pentagon and brianna keeler in our washington bureau.
